I use pottery to clear my head. While doing pottery, my entrepreneurial mind often veers: “I need to make work that sells,” or “can I make this process more efficient?” While those types of thoughts have served me in aspects of my life, my goal for pottery is to be free of those pressures I put on myself, if only for an hour or two. 

When life gets intense, I often turn to clay and remember that I’m simply making useful, beautiful things out of natural materials. Just as humans have always done.
